Observer members

CTG benefits hugely from the technical input provided by its Observer Members, which are all leading charity tax experts. The categories for Observer membership of the CTG vary according to size and location of member firms.

In 2022, CTG will provide support to Observer Members by:

  • Inviting you to attend three Observer Member meetings (next session on 10 March). The meetings are an active forum for sharing best practice and market intelligence, as well as updates from CTG’s meetings with HMRC. Your feedback helps to shape our representations. Meetings are currently held in a virtual format.
  • Lobbying HMRC and HM Treasury on priority charity tax issues.
  • Sending you our regular newsletters outlining tax developments and providing expert commentaries. Observer Members are also invited to contribute commentaries on topical issues.
  • Offering opportunities to host CTG members meetings, including the active Gift Aid working group.
  • Providing expert tax guidance and news about topical developments on the CTG website and in regular briefings.
  • Investigating the charity tax issues that you raise on behalf of clients and resolving them with HMRC and HM Treasury
