Charity Tax Group seminar in Cambridge

CTG, in partnership with Mills & Reeve, invites you to participate in a session for charities and advisers exploring recent policy developments and providing practical tax updates.

CTG’s technical adviser, Graham Elliott, will be giving a presentation and there will also be an opportunity for a Q&A with an expert panel.

The seminar will take place at Mills & Reeve’s Cambridge offices on Wednesday 26 October 2016 from 14:00 to 16:00. Registration and a sandwich lunch will be available from 13.00.

The event will cover a wide range of current topics including:

  • The outcome of the EU referendum and its implications for charity taxation
  • Implementation of the Apprenticeship Levy
  • Making Tax Digital
  • Common Reporting Standard
  • A summary of Gift Aid developments including:
    • Changes to the Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme (GASDS)
    • Result of the consultation on Gift Aid Donor benefits
    • Practical Gift Aid issues
  • A review of topical VAT issues for charities including:
    • European Commission consultation on a zero rate for e-books and publications
    • Recent case law including Longridge
