Apprenticeship Levy – Final funding policy

Secretary of State for Education Justine Greening has set out the key features of the final funding policy for the Apprenticeship Levy, to come into force from May 2017. Among the announced features are the extension of the deadline for using funds in an organisation’s digital account from 18 months to 24 months, and a commitment to making it possible for employers to transfer digital funds to other employers in their supply chains or sector, both of which CTG has been calling for. Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme take-up

The Financial Secretary to the Treasury, Jane Ellison, has responded to a written question by Andrew Gwynne MP calling for an estimate of the difference between the amount raised from the Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme (GASDS) and the amount estimated to have been raised from that scheme by the second half of 2016 at its introduction. Figures show that take-up was £79m lower than predicted. More detail here.
