We have received reports from some larger charities that they are experiencing longer processing times for Gift Aid claims, with resulting impacts on cash flow.
CTG has discussed this issue with HMRC, who advised that a processing issue had created a backlog of claims requiring approval. HMRC believes that processing times are now returning to normal and that the backlog is being cleared.
