As a charity, CTG relies on Observer Members not just for financial support, but for specialist insight and in return provides a unique platform to connect, inform, influence, and engage with charities and the charity tax issues that matter most.

CTG holds regular engagement with senior charity policy and operations teams at HMRC and HM Treasury to discuss emerging issues and proposed policy changes. Through this work, CTG gains early insight into forthcoming tax developments and is frequently asked by HMRC to support the dissemination of updates across the charity sector. Observer Members can contribute to CTG’s positions on priority charity tax issues and may, where relevant, participate in CTG’s discussions with HMRC and HM Treasury.
