Event Summary:
The session will address a very tricky part of UK VAT which is whether a funding agreement is a grant, which is outside the scope of VAT, or a contract, which is a supply and potentially subject to VAT at 20%. The session will work through the different ‘indicators’ and help you to decide which ones are most important, and how you apply them in practice. At the end of this session you should feel more confident in analysing funding agreements.
This session will be suitable for finance staff and their advisers, whether paid or voluntary, who work for charities large and small, and are responsible for making sure their charity complies with its statutory obligations and maximises its income.
