HMRC has been holding a series of webinars highlighting its programme for Making Tax Digital (MTD) – the agenda which aims to reduce burdens for taxpayers and build a transparent and accessible tax system fit for the digital age. A log of questions asked during the webinar can be accessed here, as a useful FAQ document.

The session provided attendees with a useful opportunity to get to grips with HMRC’s proposals for the MTD agenda, with the key intention that organisations respond to the consultations, which close on 7 November 2016. For those not able to respond in detail to the main consultations, HMRC has also published a survey covering the most important areas of each.
