Qualifying Social Enterprise
The definition of entities which qualify as social enterprises is quite wide, including:
- a charity (including charitable trusts)
- a community interest company
- a Community Benefit Society registered under the 2014 Act (previously known as Industrial and Provident Societies) which is not a charity.
The Treasury will be able to add to this list by Order.
