VAT registered charities need to sign up (or ask their agent to do so) for Making Tax Digital – HMRC will not do this for you.

Sign up timelines for Making Tax Digital for VAT

NB the timelines provided relate mainly to 1 April mandated start dates. Charities that have had their start date deferred until 1 October should apply the same timelines (in terms of days/weeks/months etc) from that start point.
